Connecting GitHub, GitLab, and Azure DevOps to Span

Navigate to Integrations

You need to have Admin permissions in both Span and your Source Control system. Add personal access token, and then click connect.

Source control, Version Control System, and Git are all versions of the same thing.

NOTE: it takes a couple of hours to backfill the data. The data is backfilled a year back, but if they want to use a different date range we can.

We need user names from them for this to work.

We currently support Linear and Jira.

There are some nuanced permissions things. If you only want us to have access to specific access in Jira,

An admin needs to set up the integration. If they want things to be more specifically permissioned, let us know.

We suggest that customers using "service accounts" to set up integrations, instead of individuals. For example, "IT@company.com" so that if the person leaves, integration doesn't break.

You still need a token to set up the integration.
